Fast visual thinking for Students, researchers, and anyone with long notes

Turn Notes or Text into a Mind Map with AI

To turn notes or text into a mind map with AI, paste the text into the Mindify Map editor, choose a goal, and generate. The AI groups your text into a central topic, main branches, and sub-branches that you can edit node by node. Mindify Map works from pasted text and voice input; it does not upload PDF or Word files, so copy the passage you need first.

Good-fit work

When is an AI mind map useful for students, researchers, and anyone with long notes?

Use a map while relationships, alternatives, and missing information still need to be examined. Move stable commitments into the system that will track ongoing work.

Use case

Lecture and reading notes

Turn a page of notes into main ideas, supporting points, and examples so gaps in the structure become visible.

Use case

Meeting notes

Group a raw meeting log into decisions, open questions, owners, and follow-ups instead of one long list.

Use case

Drafts and outlines

Paste a rough draft or outline and see its argument as a hierarchy before you rewrite paragraphs.

A short working loop

Move from thought to useful structure.

  1. Copy the passage you want to map

Select the section of your notes, article, or document that matters. From a PDF, copy the text from your PDF reader. Remove anything sensitive before pasting.

  2. Paste it into the editor and pick a goal

Paste the text as your prompt. Choose Learn for study material, Plan for action items, or Brainstorm for open ideas, and pick quick or detailed output.

  3. Generate an editable map

Mindify Map turns the text into a central topic with branches and sub-branches. One successful map uses one generation; a failed attempt does not.

  4. Fix the hierarchy, then export or share

Rename, move, add, or delete nodes until the structure matches your own understanding. Export PNG, one-page PDF, or XMind, or share a read-only link.

Human review

What should you check before using the map?

AI can arrange a plausible structure without knowing whether a claim is true or a commitment is real. The review step is part of the workflow.

  1. Compare every branch with the original text and remove anything the AI added that the source does not say.
  2. Keep long documents in sections: map one chapter or topic at a time instead of pasting everything at once.
  3. Do not paste confidential, personal, or copyrighted text that you are not allowed to process with an AI tool.

Keep the source material nearby and remove sensitive information before placing it in any AI prompt.

FAQ

Questions about this workflow

Direct answers about where an AI-generated map helps and where human review remains necessary.

Can I upload a PDF to Mindify Map?

No. Mindify Map does not upload or read PDF, Word, or other files, and it does not fetch webpages or videos. Open the PDF, copy the section you need, and paste the text into the editor.

How much text can I paste?

Free prompts, including guest use, are limited to 300 characters. Plus allows up to 2,000 characters per prompt and Pro allows up to 6,000. For longer material, summarize it first or map it one section at a time.

Is turning text into a mind map free?

Yes, within the daily allowance. Guests get 2 free generations per day without signing up, and signed-in free accounts get 5 per day. Plus costs $8 per month for 500 maps and Pro costs $19 per month for 1,500 maps.

Can I edit the generated mind map?

Yes. Every node can be renamed, moved, added, or deleted. Editing, exporting, and sharing do not use extra generations.

Start with a real task, not a demo topic.

Open a prepared prompt, replace its specifics with your own, and edit the result before you share or export it.
